The Lions Club of Leigh on Sea is based at The Estuary Club, 1386 London Road, Leigh on Sea, Essex. SS9 2UJ. We are a membership organisation which organises events in order to meet our charitable aims. To this end, we may process “Personal Data” and/or “Special Category Data” as defined in UK Data Protection Legislation.
We realise the importance of confidentiality. Data may be processed in electronic formats as well as on paper. When processed electronically, data may be held on a private cloud based system and/or on a local server. Regardless of how data are processed, all feasible security measures are in place. Data is retained while it forms part of our services and/or if there is statutory retention period. Specifically, we retain gift aid declarations and associated paperwork for up to 6 years after the calendar year to which they relate.
Data may be shared with third parties as part of our contracted services (i.e. membership administration), for our administrative purposes and/or if we are required by law to do so. We cannot accept any liability for any processing conducted by a third party outside our remit.
As part of our compliance, we have conducted a cookie audit on our website. Cookies are internet files used by the system to view websites and their content. We utilise cookies for analytical purposes to monitor and improve our website as may be required.
