2017 Report below

The Lions of Leigh on Sea, held their Duck Race on 30th July 2017

The Lions Club of Leigh on Sea released one thousand four hundred rubber ducks into Leigh Creek on the last of the outgoing tide due to the strong wind that was affecting how they would race.

The Lions were very appreciative of the support of 3rd Chalkwell Bay Scouts, who helped collect the duck after the race.

The four gallant ducks who reach Billet Wharf gained rewards for their ‘owners’ , who will have paid a pound each to ‘back a duck’.
