Duck Race 2024
The Lions Duck Race will happen on 30th June 2024, it will be approx 4 hours before high tide, hopefully about 16.00. We are very much tide and weather dependant so do watch our social media pages for updates. Duck Race 2023 Report
On the afternoon of Sunday 9th July, the Lions of Leigh-on-Sea held their Duck Race and released one thousand four hundred rubber ducks into Leigh Creek.
All the ducks gave it their very best, but the first four across the finish line were:
1st place No. 658 (Sheree)
2nd. No. 75 (Jim)
3rd. No. 816 (Dave)
4th. No. 719 (Georgianna)
With the aid of members of the Leigh on Sea Lions Club and 3rd Chalkwell Bay Scouts, all of the Ducks were safely collected and, pending a wash and brush up, they will be making a return in 2024.
